The Htc Hd Mini Featuring Mobile Windows

HTC have long had a tradition for producing well built and functional mobile handsets. Units such as the HD2, Legend and the Desire. With the introduction of the HD Mini to the range, they have now injected a touch of style into what was already a pretty comprehensive portfolio.

Mobile Windows 7 is not due until much later in the year, so the HD Mini works on Windows 6.5.3. This platform goes hand in hand with the handsets excellent user interface, HTC sense. Sense makes the day to day use of the phone very personal, allowing the user to really customise the home screens to their own preferences. However sense isn't just an incredibly user friendly system, its also hold a real wow factor when it comes to looks. Menus appear bright and vibrant, and the active wallpaper facility brings life to the usually static menu screens. A good example of this is the weather based wallpaper which actually changes depending on the weather conditions outside, thus if its raining, you will see raindrops on the screen of your phone, very clever.

Battery life is something often overlooked when deciding on which phone to decide upon, a point that many an i phone fan can relate to. On the HTC HD Mini, a 1200mAh lithium ion battery provides 340 hours in standby and up to 435 minutes talktime. If you would like to convert these figures into media playback then it is roughly 12 hours of audio playback. These figures hardly set the world alight, however they are more than adequate and considering the compact nature of the handset they seem even more impressive.
